On Tuesday, May 17, a woman from Hagerstown died following a single vehicle accident.
According to Howard County Police, the accident happened shortly after 9.30 a.m. near Executive Park Drive in Ellicott City. A Pontiac G5 being driven by 31 year old Keith Charles Quigg of Hagerstown left Md. 100 for reasons unknown, while traveling westbound. The vehicle rolled several times.
Quigg was treated and released from hospital but his passenger, 31 year old Nicole Marie Ashby was taken to Howard County General Hospital, then transferred to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she died the following morning.
Neither of them was wearing a seat belt.
A portion of westbound Md. 100 was closed for about three hours Tuesday while police investigated the crash.
